This is a highly strategic opportunity to manage and further develop several of the company’s largest HVAC customers across the U.S. Rather than a traditional transactional sales role, this position will focus on building long-term partnerships with major OEMs, identifying new applications and growth opportunities within existing accounts, and working closely with customer engineering and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
The HVAC business has become a key area of growth and investment for the organization, creating significant opportunity for this individual to expand customer relationships and influence future technology adoption. The successful candidate will work closely with Application Engineering, Product Management, R&D, and global commercial teams while gaining exposure across a highly collaborative international organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and further develop a portfolio of strategic HVAC and appliance customers across the U.S.
- Build deep, long-term relationships across customer engineering, product management, sourcing, and senior leadership teams.
- Identify new applications, design opportunities, and areas to expand market share within existing strategic accounts.
- Develop and execute account strategies focused on long-term customer growth and partnership.
- Gain a strong understanding of customer applications and translate technical and commercial requirements into opportunities for the broader organization.
- Partner closely with Application Engineering, Product Management, R&D, and other global teams throughout customer development and product introduction.
- Promote existing and next-generation sensing technologies across HVAC, indoor air quality, smart building, and appliance applications.
- Provide customer and market insights to help influence future product development and technology roadmaps.
- Lead commercial discussions, strategic negotiations, forecasting, and demand planning across key customers.
- Collaborate across U.S. and global teams to support strategic accounts within an international matrix organization.
- Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows while continuing to build market awareness and industry relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 5–10 years of experience within technical sales, strategic account management, application engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Experience selling engineered products, components, sensors, semiconductors, controls, or other technical solutions into OEM customers.
- Demonstrated success developing strategic customer relationships and identifying new growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage effectively with engineering and product development teams.
- Experience within HVAC, appliances, sensing, semiconductor, electronics, building technology, or other related technical markets is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, product, commercial, and international teams.
- Experience with strategic, solution-based, or value-driven selling methodologies.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, forecasting, and communication skills.
- Highly collaborative, curious, and comfortable operating within a global organization.
