Job Summary:
Meyer Lab is a US-based, industry-leading chemical manufacturer. We are proud of our family-oriented, employee-friendly environment and the talents and experience of our valued employees. Join our team today as a Sales Manager in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for hunting and prospecting new industrial business opportunities for the territory. Using your highly talented sales experience, you will follow Meyer’s proven sales process to prospect, uncover prospective customers’ high-yield needs, develop a customized chemical program for them, and acquire the business.
Job Duties:
- This role is 90% focused on prospecting new business opportunities. This will include heavy cold calling and prospecting on a daily basis.
- In the field Tuesday-Friday with one at home office day per week
- Grow territory through acquiring new business
- Administrative duties including building calendar, updating notes and entering sales orders through our CRM
- Travel up to 250-mile radius in territory weekly
- Potential for up to 2 overnights a month
Territory Coverage:
This position covers the Chicago metro, North to the Wisconsin border, West to Rockord, East to the coast, South to Bourbonnais
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of quota-carrying sales experience hunting and prospecting new business opportunities at a chemical company or similar industrial type industry.
- Excellent leadership and strong ability to work with and indirectly manage sales support colleagues.
- Excellent work history
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
